Mangopay's updated T&Cs for Vinted users (inactivity)
Last updated 27/07/2026
This page provides additional information about the notification you received from Vinted regarding the update of Mangopay’s Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), as well as details on the process we are implementing to manage inactive accounts.
About Mangopay and your Mangopay account
Mangopay S.A. is the regulated payment service provider that processes payments and manages the wallets used for transactions on Vinted’s platform. Mangopay is authorised to provide payment services within the European Economic Area as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), supervised by the Luxembourg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
As a user of Vinted’s platform, you hold a Mangopay Account (designated as “Vinted Account” in your Vinted’s profile) that enables you to receive payments and carry out transactions. Your use of this account is governed by Mangopay’s T&Cs.
What's changing?
You’ve received a notification from Vinted informing you that Mangopay has updated its T&Cs and that your Mangopay account has been identified as inactive (or is about to become inactive) because it hasn’t registered any transactions in the last 24 months.
Mangopay has updated its T&Cs to (i) improve accessibility and provide a clearer description of Mangopay’s services and to (ii) introduce a yearly inactivity fee of €30 or £30, depending on the currency of your Mangopay account, which applies to accounts that remain inactive for 24 consecutive months.
You can consult the updated T&Cs in the section below.
What happens next?
The updated T&Cs will become effective two months after the date of notification by Vinted. You will be deemed to have accepted the proposed changes unless you inform Vinted, before the effective date, that you do not accept them. If you refuse the proposed changes, you have the right to terminate the T&Cs by closing your Mangopay Account.
Your account has not recorded any transactions for at least 24 months and is therefore considered inactive (dormant) by Mangopay. If no action is taken within two months following Vinted’s notification, a €30 inactivity fee or £30, depending on the currency of your Mangopay account, will be deducted from your account balance (within the limits of available funds) at the end of that period.
You will find further information regarding inactivity, reactivation, closing account and the fee in the dedicated FAQ.
