Paris, France; January 9: OVO Network, a specialist in high-end, self-catered chalets in the Alps, has selected Mangopay, a modular and flexible payment infrastructure provider for marketplaces and platforms, to streamline the end-to-end payment process for its holiday property rental services.

Mangopay will provide an optimised payments integration, tailored to the specific requirements of the chalet rental company, from the moment the holidaymaker books their trip, through to the confirmation of the holiday and the transfer of funds to the property owner’s bank account.

Through the partnership, Mangopay automates guest payments directly to the property owners’ accounts, including requesting funds from guests and managing the integration of third party online travel agents for chalet bookings, supporting OVO Network in reducing resources, time and money spent on manual processes.

Payment flows are customised to ensure the best experience for both guests and property owners. Guests can pay a deposit up to 18 months in advance to reserve a property, while property owners have the flexibility of choosing from a variety of cancellation policies. Once a booking is finalised and confirmed, remaining funds are collected from the guest and the complete booking value is made to the owner’s local bank or payment account. This provides flexibility and peace of mind in the event of a change of plans.

Using Mangopay’s modular payment infrastructure, OVO Network has also introduced seamless split payments for trip fees to multiple parties including owners and property managers, resulting in a low maintenance, streamlined experience for property owners.

Founded in 2010, OVO Network is one of the leading high-end chalet rental specialists in the Alps, welcoming over 30,000 guests every year and featuring over 200 properties.

Commenting on the new partnership, Chris Thompson, Director of OVO Network, said: “From the very start of our journey, our focus has been on offering the highest standards, through exceptional properties, outstanding locations and first-class facilities. This high-end experience begins at the point of booking, which is why we chose Mangopay to manage our payment process from start to finish. The flexibility of Mangopay’s technology to create an infrastructure that meets our specific needs, along with the high level of dedicated support they provide, have been transformational for us.”

Tristán Torres Velat, Director of Sales at Mangopay, added: “OVO Network’s focus on quality is evident throughout everything they do, so we are delighted to support them in applying these same high standards to the payment process for guests and owners. The travel industry brings a specific set of challenges when it comes to payments. Our modular and flexible infrastructure enables businesses in the sector to reduce the operational burden of the payments process, and easily create solutions with their own specific needs in mind.”
